FAQ

Photo Booth Hire FAQs

Quick answers to the questions couples, party planners and venues ask us most.

Booking

How far in advance should I book a photo booth?

As early as you can, especially for weddings, so you know your date is secured. We can often take bookings at short notice too, so it’s always worth asking. Send us your date and we’ll confirm availability straight away.

How do I secure my date?

A small deposit, usually £50 to £75, holds your date. The balance is due shortly before the event, and everything is confirmed in writing.

Do you cover my area?

We cover Bristol and most places within about an hour, including Bath, Weston-super-Mare, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Swindon, Taunton, Newport and Cardiff. See areas we cover.

On the day

How much space does each booth need?

Enclosed booth about 8ft x 7ft (2.5m x 2m), magic mirror about 10ft x 10ft (3m x 3m), selfie pod and kids booth about 7ft x 7ft (2m x 2m). All need a standard plug socket within about 10ft (3m).

When do you arrive and set up?

The enclosed booth takes 45 minutes to an hour to set up, depending on how far the spot is from the venue entrance. We arrive in good time so the booth is ready before guests reach it.

Can the photo booth go outside or in a marquee?

Yes. A dry, covered marquee works well. We can also set up in the open air for special occasions when the weather allows. Tell us about your plans and we’ll talk through the options with you before the day.

Is there someone with the booth all night?

Yes, with the enclosed booth, magic mirror and kids photo booth. A friendly attendant stays with the booth throughout, helps guests, looks after the props and keeps everything running. The selfie pod is a drop-off hire: we set it up, show you how it works and collect it at the end, so there is no attendant.

Photos and prints

Are prints really unlimited?

Yes, with the enclosed booth and magic mirror: guests can print as many photos as they like. The kids photo booth includes 100 to 150 prints depending on hire length, and the selfie pod shares photos through an online gallery instead of printing.

Which backdrops do you offer?

The enclosed booth comes with a choice of green screen, white or black backdrop, and the magic mirror can have a red carpet.

Can the prints be personalised?

Yes, free of charge. We add names, dates, logos or themes and send you the design to approve before the event.

Do we get copies of all the photos?

Yes. You receive every photo digitally after the event to keep and share with guests.

Choosing a booth

Which photo booth is best for a wedding?

The enclosed booth is most popular because guests relax behind the curtain. The magic mirror suits glamorous, full-length shots.

Which photo booth is best for a children’s party?

Our kids photo booth: an easy touchscreen stand with a giant box of props and themed prints.

What is the difference between a selfie pod and a magic mirror?

A selfie pod is a compact camera stand with a touchscreen, great for small spaces and budgets. A magic mirror is a full-length interactive mirror with animations and on-screen signatures.

Is your date still free?

Tell us your date and venue, and we’ll confirm availability and send you a written quote within 24 hours. No obligation.
